There are times in all of our lives when we realise our own vulnerability and the fragility of human existence. The Boxing Day Tsunami of 2004, the 7/7 London Bombings of 2005, some personal tragedy or the sudden loss of a loved one, all remind us of our weakness and our smallness in a world full of disaster and evil. At such times many turn to God, seeking someone, or some thing outside and beyond themselves for comfort, security and answers.

Therfield Chapel exists to uphold the truths of Christianity, to provide a community for those who are already committed to Jesus Christ, and a haven of peace, solace and understanding for those who seek a genuine alternative to the secularism, materialism and evils of the modern world; and we serve the God who is there not just as a crutch when times are hard, but as the foundation of our lives and indeed of all Creation.
